The substrate reduces overall hardness and carbonaceousness, corrects pH, while providing the perfect environment for growing tropical plants and fish from slightly acidic water biotopes.

Instructions for use :

The substrate is ready for application ; it should not be rinsed .

It should not be mixed with substrates or substrate bases from other producers. In a newly established aquarium, the bottom surface of the aquarium should be covered with a minimum layer of 6 cm of Jiban substrate.

The surface should be moistened with plenty of water and left to stand for 30 to 45 minutes. The plants should then be carefully added using tweezers, burying their roots in the substrate.

During the first 4 weeks, it is recommended to replace 25 % to 50% of the water twice a week until the aquarium is stabilized. Over time, after filling or replacing the water in the aquarium for the first time , further stabilization of its parameters occurs.

It is recommended to use RO water with the addition of Ishiko mineral supplement for plants. Although tap water with a general hardness not exceeding 20 dH is permitted, the substrate will lose its ion exchange properties.

To create the perfect environment for plant roots and prolong the life of the substrate, the use of the Ganban Power Base is recommended.
