• Sexual Dimorphism : Males are larger and more colorful, and develop much longer dorsal, anal, and caudal fins as they mature. It is one of the few characid species in which the central ray of the caudal fin also elongates. Males also have blue irises, while females have green irises.

The specimens we sell are about 2.5-3cm long. A school of at least 8 individuals should be kept together so that they feel uninhibited and at ease.
