• Sexual Dimorphism : Adult males exhibit a uniformly straight lower jaw profile and a more pointed overall head shape than females, whose jaw is slightly rounded due to the presence of distensible skin that expands during the breeding season (see mouthbrooding).

The specimens we sell are about 3cm long. Although not considered a gregarious species, its behavior seems to become less timid when kept in a group of at least five individuals.
