Hygrophila corymbosa 'Compact'

A very compact variety of Hygrophila corymbosa, with leaves inserted close to the stem.

It forms numerous lateral shoots, enhancing its compact appearance. The leaves are dark brownish-green; when the plant leaves the nursery, after a transition period in the aquarium, they become light green and silvery-white on the underside.

In bright light, the newest leaves may turn brownish/reddish, and in weaker light, the older ones die after a while. New side shoots usually form to replace the old ones.
