Anubias barteri var. nana is a small and attractive plant that thrives in all conditions.
It originates from Cameroon and will reach 5-10 cm in height. The rhizome will be 10-15 cm long. It grows slowly and the leaves survive for several years, giving slow-growing algae a chance to establish themselves. The best results are achieved when planting on a rock or tree root. Fishing line can be used to secure the plant until it takes hold. If planted on the bottom, the rhizome should not be covered because it tends to rot.
It often blooms underwater and thrives in shady locations where other plants do not. It is not consumed by herbivorous fish.
