Phyllanthus Fluitans

Native to the American tropics, Phyllanthus fluitans is a floating plant from the Phyllanthaceae family.
It is similar to Salvinia, differing only in its single-leaf structure at each node.

The water-repellent, heart-shaped leaves conceal the stem, which can sometimes bear white flowers with six petals. The more intense the light , the redder the leaves will appear.
