AquaRio Neo Skimmer

The NEOSkimmer is an accessory designed to be attached to AquaRIO NeoFLOW tubing.

This is a surface skimmer that attaches to the outlet tube and eliminates the unsightly biofilm that forms on the top layer of aquarium water.

Version L compatible with NEOFlow L tubing for 16/22 mm tubing.

Advantages and features of NeoSKIMMER:

NeoSKIMMER is a surface skimmer whose operation is based on Bernoulli's principle, according to which pressure is reduced with increasing flow.

The main feature that sets it apart from other skimmers is that the NeoSKIMMER is installed in the outlet pipe and NOT in the inlet pipe, which basically offers two advantages:

1) There is no air intake for the filter, eliminating many of the annoying noises characteristic of external filters that occur when a skimmer is installed over the intake tube.

2) It is much safer for small fish and invertebrates, because if they are caught by the skimmer float they will be immediately returned to the aquarium and will not get trapped in the filter.

Its operating principle for eliminating biofilm is based on the fact that as it passes at high speed through the outlet tube, it is finely crushed, losing its ability to float, which is why it will eventually get trapped at the filter inlet where it will decompose through biological action.

Finally, its small size means it hardly takes up any space inside the aquarium, which, along with its transparent PETG design, makes it aesthetically integrated into the overall environment, going completely unnoticed.
