Pelvicachromis pulcher , popularly known as Kribensis or African Dwarf Cichlid , is a species of freshwater fish belonging to the Cichlidae family. Native to West Africa , especially the rivers of Nigeria and Cameroon , it is highly valued for its beauty, interesting behavior, and ease of reproduction .

Kribensis adapts easily to community aquariums, as long as it is not shared with aggressive species. It is an excellent option for beginners due to its hardiness and curious behavior.
