Over time, algae and other deposits become visible on the inside of lily pad hoses and tubes, which is perfectly natural, but not very elegant.

The pipe cleaner is a tool that helps clean hoses as well as lily pipes; simply push it through the hoses/lily pipe and all the debris will be removed quite easily.

This tool is recommended for all aquarists who have external filters because, although it doesn't have transparent hoses, the maintenance of those hoses should be done with the same regularity to ensure good water flow between the aquarium and the filter.
