Anubias sp. 'Petite' is a mutation that appeared in cultivation at an aquarium plant nursery in Singapore.
It grows to less than 5 cm in height, has very small leaves, and a 5-10 cm rhizome from which the leaves will grow. It branches well and forms dense clumps. It is undemanding like other Anubias and does not appreciate high light intensity.
It is most decorative when attached to rocks or roots and, like other Anubias, should be secured with fishing line until firmly in place. If planted at the bottom, do not cover the rhizome, as this can cause the plant to rot and die. An ideal plant for miniature landscapes in small aquariums, but it will also attract attention in larger aquariums.
